Yoga

Question from Grace Mitchell, Minehead:

How long before I notice a difference?

Does Yoga take a long time to affect the physical appearance? I am wondering if it is a fast acting exercise for weight loss or will it take a long time before I notice any improvement?

Answer from Caroline Moynihan, Antrim:

The more yoga you do the quicker you will begin to notice the difference in your body. If you go to a yoga class once a week you should also make sure to try to practice what you have learned at home each day if possible. If you could practice yoga for thirty minutes a day you would soon begin to notice a change to your appearance. It is important to focus on the exercises you are doing to get the maximum benefits. While most people say that it can take between two weeks and one month to begin to see results, some have started to see changes much earlier by doing yoga everyday. So the benefits you see will depend on your dedication and focus. To get more from your yoga routine you should try to incorporate different poses into your routines each time and try to learn new poses all the time to challenge your body.
